I found another person trying to scam people out on the Pennysaver. I could tell from the ad it was a scam, so just for giggles I emailed her and pretended I was interested and this woman has a lot of nerve, read the email she sent me:
Hello Thanks for the mail, thanks for the interest in my lovely pair of African Grey Parrots
.Well, I will like to ask you the following questions. Then get back to us ASAP.
-Have you ever lived with a African greys before or any other birds?
-do you have an acre of land, or again where they can always play around?
-Are you aware of the love and attention that African greys need?
-will every one in your home be fully committed to the adoption of a new pet?
-what about if you know any good vet in your area?
-Where exactly are you located?
What makes us willing to give them up for free adoption is that we are presently on a Volunteer mission for the W.H.O on the Eradication of the Malaria Parasite on pregnant Women in a small Country Called Cameroon. We decided to Volunteer and W.H.O was our catch since we loved helping Sick people. We are from Lakewood City California. Our duty here is tight up,that is why i even regret bringing the babies over with me since we got this job and moved with them to Cameroon i hardly spent adequate time loving and caring for them.I am really disturbed since love and concern is what they need most.Hence i have decided to give them out to any loving and caring home(s) out there which will show them lots of love and concern and care properly for them. All you need to do to get them is simply paying their flight fees to your location, and you will have to email to let me know how they are doing and equally send me pictures of the birds at your home once every month. If you agree to accomplish all these, then i will be very ready to give them out to you,and they will be coming with some playing toys, health guarantee, crate, papers and even with a food menu ok so i will be waiting to read back from you.So i will very
much give out these birds for free adoption as soon as possible in order to also reduce our work load. Waiting on your humble response.
God Bless You
I couldn’t believe the nerve of this woman saying she was doing volunteer work and then to end the email with “God Bless” I pray God has mercy on this womans soul, because she is going to need it. So I thought I would email her back and answer her questions the complete opposite as to what an honest person trying to find a loving home for their bird would be looking for. Of course all my answers are all totally false and just to make myself clear, absoultely not the way I feel! Here was my response to her though……….
Hi, to answer your questions……..
-Have you ever lived with a African greys before or any other birds? No, but I like them and I think it would be cool to own one.
-do you have an acre of land, or again where they can always play around? No, I live in a one bedroom apartment, but I think my landlord and neighbors will be okay with it.
-Are you aware of the love and attention that African greys need? How much attention do you actually need to give a bird – it’s not a dog, it’s just a bird.
-will every one in your home be fully committed to the adoption of a new pet? Well my husband isn’t too keen on the idea, but I think it will grow on him.
-what about if you know any good vet in your area? What do you need a vet for for a bird??????
-Where exactly are you located? In Los Angeles, California
So what do you think of those answers? LOL
If this was real adoption there would be NO WAY in the world that a person would let you adopt their pets, especially how "concerned" she says she is about them, with the answers I gave her, but here is her reply..........
Thanks for getting back i have a pair of african grey birds i have a female and a male grey they are a bonded pair they are called Lizzy and Timmy. they are 14 moths old and they usually have weaned themselves and are eating plenty of fruits, veggies, pasta, rice and even chicken. African Grey Parrots don't just mimmick speach they also pick up all storts of weird and wonderful sounds,The African Greys are excellent talkers and mimics At the same time as the checkup we have them DNA-sexed. As the babies start the weaning process, we introduce them to a great variety of pellets, fruits, rice, pasta, eggs, vegetables and even some chicken. i will be sending this birds along side a license, toys, perches,DNA papers,1 year guarantee papers etc so it will cost you just $200 to get them over to your home. i will need your full address to send the birds over to your home. so email me as soon as possible so that we can proceed
Sooooo, I emailed her back again and told her that I only wanted the male grey of her bonded pair and that I would only pay C.O.D., do you think I'll actually hear back from her now!
