First let me apologize for not sending pictures of my Florida trip. I have been so incredibly busy at work since my return. I only have a few pictures of Dozy in her harness by the pool and will send them just as soon as I am able.
In the meantime I think I have created a habit in Dozy that I need to find a way to stop. I have been trying to teach her to hang upside down on my finger. While she is perched on my finger I say “weeee” and she will twirl around my finger until she is hanging upside down. Cute right? It was cute at first but now no so much. Sometimes she twirls around upside down with no problem. Then there are the times that she tries to right herself up and uses my finger as a perch and really bears down very hard. So hard she has almost broken skin. Sometimes before she does her little twirl she places her beak on my finger and then twirles around and has a mightly grip on my finger that is quite painful. I know you're not suppose to make a fuss when they bite but she is really hurting me so I am sure she thinks the biting part is part of the game. Any thoughts?
Don't say weeee anymore, hehe! I'm not sure what to say besides to stop doing the trick. Ollie does this trick, but she has never done more than lightly grip my finger in her beak to help pull herself back up. I do twist my hand around to aid in her getting back upright...maybe if you make it easier for Dozy she won't have to bite as hard.

I have stopped encouraging her and I do not say the "weeee" word any more. I, like you, also twist my hand around but Dozy still thinks I am made of wood. Hopefully she'll quit.
My Afa does this too. When she starts biting down I sort of apply a little pressure o her beak and say "EASY!" she usually eases up but sometimes I have to repeat it. If she's in a mood, I just take her off my hand and tell her "NO BITE"

Dozy seems to be in a mood over the last couple of days -don't know what's up with that. Overall she's still a very good girl!
