So I'm curious...
a while back you wrote that no matter what you did, you couldn't get Ollie to say "I love you."
Is that still the case? Has she said it yet?

I've run into that wall with Tuki and the word "momma" or "mommy." This bird will say ANYTHING except those words!

Nope, she still hasn't said it yet! She'll holler out "Go Potty" and "You're Naughty!" all day long...but no "I love you"! She doesn't say mommy or momma yet either. I don't say it all that much to her though.

I think they intentionally go mum on the things they know we want them to say...

I agree. Togo hasn't said "I love you" yet either and she's 7.

Mr Buddy says it all the time. He usually follows it with smooching sounds, then turns his head upside down and kisses me!

Jerry's the same way, says it every day. He not only says "I love you," but also "I love you kitty" and "I love you Winston" and "I love you little bird." He doesn't feel the love for Lulu or the dog though

Harrison says it all the time too. She says "I love you"...."I love you, baby"...and "I love you, too"...she also does the kissy sounds after sometimes.

It's so crazy!

I get a lot of "I Love You," kissy sounds, "Kisses?" "Gimme a kiss!" but he won't finish the sentence with Momma!!!

He also won't wish me "night night" or "sweet dreams" or "see you in the morning."

But "Shut the F*** Up!" Now THAT'S EASY! We've got plenty of those to go around!

That's too funny.

Togo says "good night" all the time. She says it so much I take it to mean "Thank you," "I love you," "Hey, where are you going?" etc.

Aaron always comments on how "smart" Togo is...for a cockatiel...
