#14 | | | Re: The Greys of PC Baby Bella....we've had her almost a year (Dec 7). Leg broken in nest box, but she gets along just fine.
Bella and her bestest friend Ricky-roo, a baby b&g
Bella and Stevie..Stevie is younger than Bella, and is Jodi's sister (can't find a picture of my beloved Jodi)
Stevie - Well, you can see by the picture We picked her up on March 30th along w/ Ricky. Just this past week we had someone here that thinks poor little Stevie may be blind. Is she the saddest looking grey you've ever seen?
Schmedley (wild caught CAG) and Niko, rescued from an abandoned house..they were left for dead w/ no food or water. Niko lived in a tiny parakeet cage, Schmed in a finch cage. |

#15 | | | Re: The Greys of PC Gunner, age according to breeder 1 to 2 yrs old....returned because he threw his food and pooped on the floor... Broken keel bone in nest box, so he's crooked.
He is from the same breeder as Jodi, Stevie, Bella, Ricky and Rudy (my scarlet breeder hen)
I still can't find a picture of Jodi that I'm not in... 6 out of 7 isn't bad And yes, it is a riot having 7 greys! (and 2 macaws, and 2 amazons, and 5 quakers...etc etc)

#17 | | | Re: The Greys of PC I don't have pictures (actually I do but I don't know how to post them) but I have:
Ellie: Congo, 18 years old, female, originally called Elliot because she was never sexed (never taken to the doctor for a single check-up either), given away because owners were downsizing and had no room for her cage. Excellent eater of veggies and fruits, loves gloop and talks.
Sophie: Congo, 10 years old, female, came from home with abusive husband and says things like: "Oooooh God help me!" and "Stop it, stop it, just go away, you are making it worse", excellent eater of veggies, fruits, gloop and a few selected leafy greens. Very, very affectionate, loves to dance and sing.
Pookie: Timneh, 10 years old, female, found as a stray in Staten Island, was quite aggressive when first came but mellowed out a lot, excellent eater of veggies, fruits, gloop and one single leafy green (Red Swiss chard), loves men, talks a bit but mostly whistles.
Nina: Congo, 11 years old, female, chronic plucker, they tried to use her as a breeding bird but did not work out because the bird turned practically catatonic. She had feathers only on her head when we got her and would not move one step in any direction, not even to eat. I actually had to buy this bird to get her out of the situation she was in. Two and a half years later, she is still very delicate and easily upset but she only plucks her chest and part of her legs now. She also moves around, plays with a toy or two and even flies. Not much interaction with other birds or people though, she doesn't seem to trust anybody but I have hopes for her (she has recently started giving kisses). She loves her gloop and is slowly but surely eating more veggies and fruits... only with her everything is the tiniest baby steps and it takes months and months and months to get her to try a single new thing. But that's OK, I have time and patience. |

Cute, isn't she? | Did you put barriers up between two rooms? We're thinking about doing that but we don't really know what to use. Do you have a picture of the bamboo curtains? I don't know what they are...thanks! |

#20 | | | Re: The Greys of PC THANK YOU, ARTY!
This is Sophie on a branch (notice how it's all chewed up?) with Sabu (male senegal and meanest bird in creation):
Here you can see Nina in the right background (you can't see her chest but you can see her legs with no feathers on them).
This is Pookie eating with tiels and lovies
This is Sophie walking on the floor (she loves to ground forage)
