Default Giving Baths?

Spring is here, finally and the fids were finally able to get outside! Harley came out on her playstand (she has her wings clipped and hates to fly) and I was able to get some warm water going and give her a nice out door bath. She really got into it! By the end, she was soaked and having a very fun time, wishing I could spray her more (I had the hose turned up so it fell like rain).

Echo, on the other hand, does not have his wings clipped. I am debating weather or not to. Anyways, I didn't give him one for that reason. His previous owner gave him one in the sink, and he didn't enjoy that at all. Tried the shower, wasn't having a blast.

So, I thought I would ask how yall bath your birds. I really want him to take baths more often, and I know it is better for him. So, how do you really get them to get into it and really 'bath'?

it took valo a little while, but he got the hang of taking a bath in the sink or bathtub... i set it up like a game, brought toys and splashed around him full of excitement (nobody saw me - good)

bella wouldn't bathe at the beginning, but when she watched valo she kind of picked up the concept and now does a better job than mr. stinkefuss....

pita couldn't care less about a bath - at least at my house.... he prefers to get sprayed, and that i could do daily

I have a shower stand and a hand held shower sprayer. They don't seem to care for it, but Momma says they have to...

None of my birds cared for showers when I first got them. They've all learned to love it by either wathcing me show excitement in the shower (well that was my first one. The rest of them have learned by wathcing me and my first one interact by having fun in the shower. Still working a little with my M2, but tomorrow will be our second time with him bathing on my arm while taking a shower. Besides him, they all pretty much love it now. The M2 will soon, I can see him making progress.

My guys love the showers, but when time is limited, the old spray bottle works well, too. Nothing like the shower. Mine are bathed year-round. Ditto on Lara's response!

Tuki is still so young, I have tried to shower/bathe him often in his first year...He got used to the shower - but spent more time avoiding the spray than getting clean.

Then I moved to a place with a GREAT bathtub...he had his first bath last weeek and HATED IT. LOL
But it's just so necessary to control all that dander and keep him comfy/pretty.

*I've also done the spray bottle and the cold dish of water left in his cage. He gets to weetes/cleanest in a tub/sink.

Liby (tag) hates baths so she gets sprayed. Rosie (budgie) is very flighted so she gets sprayed as well. In the colder months Baby(macaw) and Boca (cag) bath in the sink. As soon as it gets warmer out I get the kiddie pool out with about two inches of water in it. Baby and Boca love it.
