Default Dunkin' Dunker

I change Harrison's water several times per day because she constantly drops her pellets in it. I figured out what she's actually doing...she dunks the pellet in the water and then eats it...it must be better soft or something I don't know. But she leaves some of them in the water and it changes the water to whatever color that pellet is. My husband thinks she likes the colored water...lol...I don't think that's it. I just watched her go over to her food and grab one of her fruit flavored pellets and go all the way over to the water on the other side of the cage, dunk it and then she ate it. Kinda funny. She must do this all day when I'm at work...anybody have birds that do eating "rituals"??

My two are part Raccoon also; they both have to wash their fruit before they eat it!

Mischief also like dunking various thing like the fruit and pellets. I often find stuff that has been flung out of the cage when it was wet. My messy child

Gipper, my tag, used to make pea soup several times a day! Ruby likes to soften her food too!

Dakota likes to poop in his water. I'm lucky with Ollie- her water is still so clean after 24 hours that'd I'd drink out of it.

Cookie is a dunker......Jack is not.

Crackerjack sits on the ledge of his bowl while I'm making his and Cookie's breakfast and yells, "Want breakfast?!" "Want breakfast?!" Demanding little thing!

They all have different personalities, don't they?!

dawn

Lately Darwin has been "dyeing" his water green- I'm not sure if he's dunking or just making a mess.
