Hi Everyone,



Here is a picture of Dozy. She is sitting on my shoulder as I type this to you. She is settling in nicely. She's eating her sprouts, veges and some fruits. She's not doing great on the dry foods. She is still pretty quiet and not very playful. Hopefully she'll come around and be a bit more playful and vocal in time.

She really is a sweetheart. Everyone in the family can handle her without a problem.

Thanks for the update. Do you have a gram scale? You should be weighing her every morning after her first big poop. Since she recently weaned and came to a new environment, you want to make absolute sure she isn't losing a substantial amount of weight. You can purchase a gram scale at Walmart for under $35.

That's great that everybody can handle her. Keep socializing her- it's very important for baby parrots!

Sounds like she's adjusting, slow but sure. I bet in no time at all you'll be wondering where your quiet little girl went when she starts whistling for you and throwing her toys around so you can learn how to fetch!
