Re: Dozy I second what Deb said...lots of moisture rich foods to snack on the way home. You can buy food dishes that will mount on the inside grill of the carrier. I don't know how Wendy does pick ups, but Minerva, who was shipped, had plenty to eat including sprouts.
You might want to mount a perch toward the front of the carrier but you'll have to poke holes in the sides to do it. Put a towel in the bottom for absorption. Toss some foot toys in there to keep Dozy occupied.
I know we all think African Grey, fragile, sensitive, be careful transitioning her...and I suppose some of that is true, but Minerva was a lot less stressed than I was. A TAG hanging upside down in the carrier twisting her head off to see me was not what I was expecting. lol She was a lot more resiliant than I was expecting. So, remember to relax and enjoy!
