Here are some shots of her enjoying the Celery.

I was so pleased she was having some fun.

So my husband starts laughing & calls to me, 'Hurry come & see this'.

I arrive to see water being tossed everywhere! Bunny is bathing in her water bowl.

So I went to the kitchen & found this enameled flower pot, a student gave me. It's about the size of her 'casserole' bath dish her owner has for her. The bonus for her is the flower pot has a nice gripping edge. I had been wondering if she might like a bath tomorrow............

Water on the walls & waves .... now the wave maker.

Looking into the water & then drinking & playing.

Testing the water - Stepping into the water - jumping into the water & splashing

Using the food holders she lowers herself into the water, hops out & waves her wet tail & wings all over.

I think she's had a fun time. I hope may walls dry out!

Thanks Leigh - now I can see for real, what you Grey owners have been talking about.

She should sleep like a rock tonight. What a busy bird she's been.

While i was making dinner she kept a close eye on me. She got another piece of celery & a big floret of broccoli. I was so pleased - her owner has done a great job with her. She just tossed the Noodles over the cage tho - doesn't like my cooking I guess.

She is an almond addict for sure - I have stopped counting! She had 2 while we had dinner. She even climbed down to sit beside me while I finished my diner & to get another almond.

I've always loved Greys. But I really have accepted I will not own one. But this bird sitting thing is great. Its kind of like reading a library book. Just as exciting to have & read but no long term storage.

Apparently Bunny just called to my husband & said 'Come, step-up'. She's only been back in the cage for about 15 minutes.

Its scary looking after a new parrot at first.
Burt shows no interest in mineral blocks or cuttle bone. If you want the almond treats to last longer break them up into smaller peaces. This will let him get to know your family in a positive way.

Rob et al ~ Thanks for all the advice guys - keep it coming.

jessalyn ~ Its terrible when you loose a pet & unfortunately its even harder when you were very close. I am now more relaxed around cats - I too was really heartbroken when Vive passed away. I'm glad to hear that the Bunny stories aren't causing you any pain.

I was out this morning - she got to watch Tree house TV. She seemed oK with going back into the cage.

I made her some food toys. Yesterday she only tossed the carrot but today she ate some! She only ate the broccoli when I untied it. But she did enjoy the unusual event & loves to untie knots.

Broccoli

Carrot

Hey! Whats that? ........................................... Lets give it a chew.

Lets see how it drops. .................................... What! She set it up again!

Lets work on those knots. ................................ Perhaps I'll eat some after all.

She couldn't resist dropping it again.
