Thanks guys. I love my rats. They get such a bad rap, but are such amazing animals. All 7 of my rats are litter trained. I let them out a few at a time and they run around my apartment, and I call them with a certain noise and a treat in hand and they come running from wherever they are. My first rat, who died recently actually ame to her name and did all sorts of tricks.
I never thought of rats as pets until an old roomate of mine moved in. This guy bred rats (and all sorts of other rodents). He is a scientist in real life. He doesnt do experiments or anything, but he takes the resscive and dominant traits and tries to breed the personality and colors and body shapes that he wants. I couldnt resist cute babies, so my rat addiction began. |
