Default I noticed a bald patch

on my Luckys' back right thigh. She has a vet appt. in a couple of weeks, but I am wondering if you all have a cure. It is about 2x1 inches and is just hairless. She has black "striping" on her anyway so I really hadn't noticed it until I bathed her yesterday. She doesn't seem to be scratching or chewing there.

She could be starting a hot spot but I think she is young for that. You checked for fleas? Any stinky odor coming from it? Is it round?

I agree with Karen, a pic would be good. I really think its just a scratch but, hot spots can be really nasty and common on the hair type of a Boxer. Oh it stinks awful once it really gets going. Is the skin dry in the patch or pink?

it could be the starting of demodex mange, it's often called puppy mange and it can be brought about by stress. It's actually rather common, more so then most people realize. If that's the case it can easily be treated by some meds by the vet and brought under control. Our rotti mix actually had it when we first got her. She also could just have allergies to something and may be nibbling on that one spot, or maybe she ran into something and made the hair in that one spot fall out, please do let us know what the vet thinks.
