Nate, I'm sorry to hear Buddy had another seizure and I hope they don't continue. Does your vet recommend any other medication after a seizure, like metacam?

Poor baby! Actually, I think it is much worse for you than for him, he may just have some stiff muscles and a bit of confusion. Hope you all enjoy the rest of the day!

Thanks everyone! Buddy's doing great, no after affects other than a little quieter than usual. He had his usual afternoon walk, hung out in the yard for a while, had a good supper. Chances are, with any luck he'll be fine now for some time. Knock on wood!

Poor Buddy, I hope there are no other problems with the seizures. I'm glad there were no after affects.

Hi Nate - sorry to hear about the seizures - it is horrible to watch - one feels so helpless & afraid for the pet. I'm glad to hear things have settled down.

What does the vet think is causing the seizures?

1) I knew a woman who's poodle was epileptic - luckily her principal was sympathetic & allowed her to bring him to class - he had a calming effect on the troubled children, so it was a good payoff.

2) I saw an episode on one of the pet shows where a dog had seizures because of an ear infection/build up of wax - some individuals can be like that.
