Snapped this shot of the old boy today. He's getting along, but still gets around good, and chases the squirrels every chance he gets!

Thanks Karen and JR. Yes, I'm sure he would have quite a story to tell. We're quite sure his earlier years were not good ones. He's totally spoiled now though, and a real old sweetheart, as long as you don't try to do anything with his feet, or take him to the vet. They have to knock him out to trim his nails or anything, he will warn them, and if they don't back off, look out! He's either eleven or twelve, we're not sure which.

He sure is big for a Lab.

Yeah, there's more to him than just Lab, he weighs 102 pounds. Can't decide what the mystery breed in his background was, but whatever it was, it was big!

You never know, years ago we had a big black purebred lab named, 'Gentle Ben', he weighed 120 pounds and was not fat!

I was going to surmise that he might have some collie in him - we had a big fellow named Bruno. The longer hair on his nape made me wonder & his slightly slanted eyes are like Bruno's.
