It's been a nice holiday weekend so far!! My ship is tied up for a few days, so I have had a chance to get off and take a few photos! There is a nice marsh not too far from the dock, And I got these shots of a Male Yellow Warbler there.

He was a TOUGH subject- Moved a lot!





As far as North American native species go, these guys HAVE to be some of the flashiest!!

The best thing about taking pics in the marshes up here (northern Michigan) is that, Unlike in Florida, I don't have to worry about stumbling upon an animal that might eat me

He's a little beauty, Andrew. I've never managed a good warbler shot yet. They seem to stick to the bushes, and you're right, they are always on the move.

Loved them! - the 2nd one is too sweet - with the head feathers all bushed out. It must be very hard to get the photo of not only a fast moving bird - but one on a moving plant.

Yes I agree, N. Michigan must be a lot safer than those pesky alligator regions. I don't know how Missi & Susan cope.

It might have been challenging, but you succeeded in capturing an awesome pic of that little Yellow Warbler.
