Default Oriole

I was really surprised to see this fellow visiting one of the Hummingbird feeders today. Twenty Two years here, and this is the first time we've seen an Oriole in the area. We put out an orange for him too, hoping to persuade him to stick around.

He's something else! God must have worked hard on him! All that glory in one little bird! Thanks!

Beautiful bird, I don't think I have ever seen one of those in the wild!

Thanks, guys! Haven't seen him around today at all. Gonna keep hoping though. I remember my mother telling me about orioles, back when many city streets were lined with Elm trees (pre-dutch elm disease days). The trees would be thick with orioles and their hanging woven nests. Must have been beautiful to see.

Beautiful photos - aren't they something?!

There's an Oriole [or many ] that lives in the valley by the creek. If I'm lucky I see him once a year. I think you have to be up early tho & by the time all the chores are done ... well it isn't early any more. They are quite loud aren't they? - like a Robin, with a nicer song
