Finaly got a decent shot of one of the Woodpeckers


This little guy came right up to me


I was sitting on the other end of the swing when....suddenly I had to share

Gorgeous pics! I think the woodpecker is a red-bellied woodpecker, probably a male.

Oh, it is definately a male. Male & female usualy come together. Lately, they have been seperate which leads me to believe...there might be a baby hidden away somewhere.

Yep...here is one of the Ringneck Dove in my yard...The mate must be nesting because I have not seen her in several days.



This was taken from about a hundred yards away without a telephoto lense. The tree is probably 50ft. high.

Y'all should see the 'pecker I have here at the Compound. I wish he would hold still long enough for me to get a shot of him. Who knows, maybe one of these days?
