Default Lesser BH nest

It must be spring! Here is a Lesser Blue Heron nest, in a saw palmetto... They are loud babies!

Got 'em with my Canon 100-400 IS lens, on a Rebel XT. This is the best angle that I can get, without bothering them, so you have to put up with some distraction here and there.

Wonderfully captured, Andrew. I think you managed to work around the intervening branches very well.

Thanks, Everyone. They are fun to watch- And I think that I am going to try to make it a point to get back there a few more times before they fledge, to keep an eye on their progress!!

No- This is an older camera, and is only 8 megapixel... The lens that I am using has more impact on the photo quality than the camera body itself- It is one of the pro-Grade L series lenses... Which are incredibly sharp!
