They are 12-15 cm (5-6 in) long, with a 16-21 cm (6-8 in) wingspan, and weigh 9-14 grams. Yes, that's a five foot horse fence she's sitting on. They are one of our most abundant birds, especially in the winter. There's a constant procession of them going to and from the feeders all day long. Interesting tidbit; they always take a seed and carry it off, sometimes eating it right away, but often stashing it for later use. Its said that each one is hidden in a different spot, and each bird can remember thousands of hiding places. Neat, huh?

It's an Olympus(Zuiko) 50-200mm 1:2.8-3.5 zoom telephoto. With the Olympus 4/3 aspect ratio you double that, so its effectively a 100-400. Those were all taken at 200mm. It is a very sweet lens!
