Default Check out my visitor!

It's not every day I get an Eastern Rosella, sorry I couldn't get a better shot but he was camera shy.

Very pretty, it looks much bigger than the ones I have seen in captivity here. Did you see just the one, or was there a mate near by?

There was a mate higher up in the pine tree. They took off together when they saw me with the camera. I had to put he zoom to the max optical setting, 10x. Maybe I should have checked with their agent first? LOL

Oh wow. Fabulous and huge! We have them at the store. Absolutely gorgeous. I used to have a fallow cheeked rosella. His name was Tatoo!

Oops!!! I messed up, it's a Pale Headed Rosella, not an Eastern Rosella. Here's a better shot of one close up found on Google.

Camille, they are about the size of a Nanday I think. Maybe a tad bigger.

Well, the pale headed is much more rare than the Eastern from what I have read, so that's probably one for the bird watcher's book! Lovely fellow, thanks for putting up another beautiful Aussie grass parakeet. There isn't enough devotion to these guys.

I know! It just kills me that Rosellas don't have the temperment to be pets. They are gorgeous, cheap in Australia and available everywhere in amazing mutations too!

Tara - you make me so jealous with these pics you can get. I would love to be able to watch wild budgies and Tiels and Toos.
Just awesome.
