Annual State Bird Fair and Expo – This is the largest avicultural event held in Queensland. Hundreds of exotic and native birds, avicultural products and merchandise are for sale.

There are trade displays, monster raffles, companion parrots expo’s, avicultural club stands, sales table and cage & aviary parrot displays. Members can sell their birds at this event.

It is held on the first weekend in May each year. May is generally a dry and cooler time of the year in Queensland, which is optimal for the bird comfort and minimises any unnecessary stress to the birds at the sale.

Our Code of Avicultural Ethics covers practices at Bird Sales and this is adopted for the Annual State Bird Fair.
