This is an incredable opportunity for people in the NY area.
Seats will be limited. Layne David Dicker is among one of the VERY best speakers I have been able to meet. He will leave you thinking, and in hysterics. He is by no means the typical speaker. He has been on 20/20 several times and has written articles for numerous magazines. I hope to speak to him about appearing in Burlington(see Kathie, I'm workin it for ya)
Dr Hess is also one of the Vets I have used at the AMC in NYC.
But I urge you if you are in the NY area to get there to see him.
Last time I saw him was his last engagement on the east coast. That was in the late 90's.

You will thoroughly enjoy Jean Pattison, too! We had her speak at FWCAS a few months ago and she was facinating and I learned a lot about African Greys also. She is quite a character also. She was quite upset about the confiscation of birds from the woman in St. Pete-I believe she was one of the experts that testified. You might mention it to her.
