Canadian Birds Shows???

Any Canadians on here that would know how I could find out if there are any birds shows coming up in either ThunderBay or Winnipeg. I live hours from these two cities, but I'd love to go to a show and see what it's like.

Are you looking for Bird Shows where they exhibit birds for ribbons and trophies or Bird Fairs/Shows where they sell lots of good stuff?

That is an excellent link - keep it on your Favourites Nadine - they update it. As you will see, most of the shows are in May/June & in the fall.

You might also think to visit Bird Club Shows - sometimes they hook up with Humane Society [or not] & have a small show at local Malls.

I was thinking of shows that sell stuff..but also where they show birds and where you can be informed on all topics concerning birds.

I could travel to either ThunderBay or Winnipeg to see these shows. I just thought if anyone who might live in these cities could tell me more.

This is were being a Torontonian can be hard - on everyone else.......
There is a pretty good show in march in Toronto - by the Pearson Airport at the International Exhibit Building - lots of bird clubs, rescues & product + lots of cat & dog stuff:

I would think the All about Pet show would travel tho ... but I can't see that it does ...

I've been a few times & missed a few. It's a long trip for you to go to this show - it isn't huge but pretty big & diverse. I'd say about less than 1/4 is devoted to birds. Dogs are No.1, then cats. ~ they even had some exotic custom terrariums, when i went.

In the Toronto area the smaller bird shows also have some bird supplies. That's why I thought you could contact the local Bird Clubs & ask them about the shows & events in their areas.

For lots of reasons there used to be more of these shows around but they have been reduced over the years.
