Default Our resourceful, emotional, intelligent fids

We know our birds are resourceful, afterall cockatoos have been seen clipping small sticks of wood and using them to scratch various body parts. They have expectional memories, they display emotions as we can all attest to, and enjoy intelligent play. Our B&G, Winged Victory, plays basketball. He choosing the right color small acrylic ball when asked to pick up a red, yellow or blue ball. After choosing the right color he runs to the end of the table and drops it in his toy basketball hoop. He gets sooooooo excited when we cheer his success and of course the basketball star gets a pine nut!

I know all of your birds display their resourcefulness, have an exceptional memory, and engage in intelligent play.

Ruby is still a baby, but so far we have learned to give kisses for whatever it is we want and we are working on putting the little colored disks into slots. So far she just knows "red". Mainly she likes to throw them on the floor! ha! She also knows how to wave and give a high 4! I want to get a basketball goal for her. It is on my list! Wish we could see Winged Victory in person!

Ollie has a set of tricks she can do on command: wave, shake-shake, be a bat (hang upside down), call the doggy (dog call whistle), and the wolf whistle on command. She also recalls on command. She has a toy stacker set and while she doesn't know the specific colors or shapes, she loves to stack them.

Dakota will only say "good morning" first thing in the morning.

Mollie recalls.

Ruby is a sweetie, she is in the embryo stage of becoming resourceful. We haven't purchased a video camera as of yet, but that is on my list!

Ollie is so neat. Does she raise her foot up to shake your hand or does she shake her body?

Peanut recalls and he is getting quite good at the "go fly" part. Some of the suns do "dead bird".

Peanut gives backchat when I tell him "no" mostly over the knobbly's on the steering wheel or the keyboard. He now gives his little cheeky sqwak when he is on his way to the forbidden zone. It is almost a " I dare you to tell me no" kind of thing. He reminds me of a human child that says no to himself while reaching out to touch the forbidden ornament. While this does not fall under a clever trick he does seem to be showing a thought process.

On the resourcefulness side Peanut is the only one that can't open the green barrel toy to get the nut inside. He simply waits till another opens and the mugs to get his share. Possibly he is in training for the mafia.

Shake-shake is the command for a full body shake. She often says "shake-shake!" as she does it.
