Yes they sure love Drama - the more the better. If we're talking in an excited manner or laughing, our little Budgie will join right in - all excited. He takes little offense when he's been bad & we've said 'no' or insisted on a step-up instead of a bite.

From the parrot's point of view, there are few things in the world as much fun as getting your person mad enough to yell at you. Watch closely, and you'll see the little monster's eyes flash in excitement! And the next time the little fellow gets bored, don't be surprised if he bites you, again -- just for the fun and excitement of it!
Great article! I have seen this. I have to be very careful how I react to unwanted behavior as was evidenced just this morning as Kady attempted to remove a mole from my shoulder!

Actually, Magellan gets quite alarmed when I raise my voice -- she will start making warning calls (maybe she thinks that is what I am doing), then the tiels join in -- what a a ruckus. Since 99.9% of the time I am just laughing about something on the phone, it is pretty amusing.

Or maybe my mom is channeling and still trying to teach me to speak like a lady!

Can you imagine how much trouble they would cause if they were able to participate in online forums!
