Great article, a good read and something to add to my folder of bird things.
My ringnecks all do this, especially Silk (my grey ringie) when she feels she is missing out on something, usually food and play time with mummy. Pepper started waving her foot around when she wants to step up, which is a real hoot for me because for the first few months she was with me she never wanted anything to do with me.
The tiels are masters of the big, goo goo eyes. And Mullani will also hang upside down and stretch out his wings, fan his tail and contact call at me when he desperately wants to come out and play.
