My issue is that she used the paper towel to first wipe the grate and then she used the SAME paper towel to wipe off the perches!

The cage is pretty bare and empty too (as far as different perches and toys), but for all we know it could be a sleep cage (but then again there shouldn't be THAT much seed if it's simply a sleep cage.

I only posted the link to show the Press N' Seal tip. I wasn't too crazy about the clean-up method but thought that tip may help someone.

Ok, I'm crazy over the "Press-n-Seal" idea! That's a cool idea, I think I'm going to go buy some tomorrow, LOL! I think I'll need more than one box though, LOL! Great post Karen!

I do like the press and seal (but suspect it would not work with the aviary ). I wonder how long it would have taken with the bird helping and a million toys, but still a great pointer for folks who are worried about how messy a fid might be. Thanks for sharing.

Sara! I was thinking the same exact thing! I was like, Oh my God, she didn't just do that.

I think the wrap is a great idea, but I think for larger cages it could get expensive. It might be worth a try though.

Might end up costing you alot as compared to the free newpaper that is on the bottom of the cage plus it doesn't decompose like paper does. I would kind of worry if the bird got any of the press and seal as it has the sticky stuff all over the paper could be a nightmare if it gets on any feathers. I know Simon would be trying to pick it apart. I think I will stick to my green planet method for paper on the bottom it but then I only have two of them to do unlike many of you who have larger families to clean up after.
