#3 | | | Camille, I have conflicting opinions on the corner cage myself. It's a great solution for....well, a corner of course! And, it's a good looking cage. On the other hand, there really isn't a lot of space in it for its size, which sounds contradictory. The thing is, it just seems awkward to set up with perches and toys and such. That big expanse of curved front is pretty much all taken up with food dishes and the door. The back part is pretty much inaccessible because it's so deep from the door. You look at the dimensions and it seems pretty good size, but there just doesn't seem to be a lot of useable space.
Other than that, my only real complaint is that in order to fit newspaper to the pan, you have to cut them to fit because that whole front is curved, so you can't just fold it. It's also larger than one sheet of newspaper will cover, so you have to cut two pieces. I change papers daily, and every day I cuss. I've gotten really good at cutting them, but it sucks.
There is a magnificent humongous corner cage (with flat panels, not curved) that I would love to have, but the bar spacing is too big for a Poi Boy. That's the only other corner cage I've found, so no, the new one probably won't be a corner cage. |

Tausi has made it clear that he really wants nothing to do with her, but with Quito, yes means "yes", and no means "hell yes you betcha"! Although he's always been very gentle with his beak with me, it is big enough to do some real damage to her. Now that Tausi is becoming flighted, I'm hoping that the situation might actually improve somewhat in that perhaps he'll discover that he can just fly away when she's being a pest. Hopefully he won't take that to the next level and pursue her with an eye to teaching her a lesson! |
