Default Play Cages

Kady and Kita have there regular Macaw sized sleep cages and then they have play cages for during the day, when they're not out with me.

Wow, yes awesome is the perfect word to describe your setup there Karen - toooo cool!!! Glad to see you using quality F.S. Lighting (I think?)

Do you mind saying where ya purchased the cage and if S.S. or not and how much did it cost (a pm is fine if you prefer - thanks).

I would like to know also, I really like that! Why don't you use it as their night cage as well?

I can't wait until Ollie has a cage set up like that! Then she will truly be spoiled!

Yep, it's F.S. lighting The play cages we have here, were not purchased. We've been working on the design for them for a while now, and we're almost ready to take them to the next step. There's been a lot of interest.

The panels are made out of hardened Anodized Aluminum tubing and the mesh is SS. No chipping, no rusting, nothing for the birds to peel off. You'd be amazed at how light the individual panels are. All the hardware is SS also. I'm using the SS welded wire mesh for our use here, as my birds are pretty easy on everything. But we plan to purchase the SS woven-crimp lock wire mesh, which is pretty much Macaw proof.

Glad you like it. We're hoping to do something using the same type of materials to set up a flight for them, when weather allows them to be out there.

Edited to add: I use the Phillips 98CRI full spectrum bulbs.
