The sandy perch is out of the cage. He will not step on my hand- he will step on my arm and immediatly make his way to my shoulder. He is a major shoulder bird.

I dont know why he doesnt like rope- I had a large booda for easy grip, and he fell off. The boing was a no-go too, and if its at the bottom of the cage he wont touch it- he only perches at the top of his cage.

If he will step up on your arm, the Aloe Vera will work the same way, put some on your arm where he walks and it will rub off if you have him step up immediately after you smooth the aloe on your arm. Poor little baby, keep us updated!

J.R. - do you think a little neosporin mixed with the aloe may work (Neosporin to help with any infection)

I don't use neosporin. The Aloe Vera can assist in the healing and is more natural. I am cautious because I read an article a while back that questioned it toxicity.

OMG - really? I have used that many times on my birds if they get a little birdie injury. In fact, I included it in the Emergency List. Should I remove it? I always thought Neosporin was safe....

I wouldn't recommend you remove it from you kit, it is only my personal choice.
