#28 | | | Re: Ollie's Gyms I didn't follow any directions for this gym, we just sort of improvised as we went along. You can make it as big or small as you want. I didn't measure the distances between the main perching area, because you'll have to adjust for the size of your bird. The lengths near the bottom will also depend what you use for a "poop catcher." You may not need 11 inches, or you may need it taller. All measurements are in inches, and refer to the length of the PVC, not taking into account the universal sized connectors. The PVC is 1 inch in diameter, which is perfect for my CAG. In all the places where the connecters are right next to each other, there is just a small piece of PVC connecting them.
In the picture of the gym with the measurements there are:
8 corner connectors
7 crosses
22 t's
8 caps
I used t connectors on the very bottom because in the future I'm planning on somehow attaching wheels, so I wanted to leave that possibility open.

#30 | | | Re: Ollie's Gyms Portable PVC stand:
8 corners
1 straight connector (converts from floor to tabletop)
5 t's
1 end cap
square piece of linolium, 18x18, with a slit and hole cut.
I started with the base. Then I did the perch frame. I saved the long PVC stand for last, so I could see exactly how tall I wanted the stand to be. I think with these pictures and measurements, it's pretty self explanatory. I just drilled a small hole and screwed in an eye hook on the toy hook to hang a toy from.
Everything is screwed together very well, except for where the stars are. It comes apart into 4 pieces, the square base, the long stand (which can be pulled into 2 for tabletop), the perch frame, and the toy hook. It stores very easily- I actually just keep it in the trunk of my car for travel.
I've been wanting to buy 2 bowls, mount them into a small piece of PVC, and make it fit into where the toy hook goes. A future project....maybe this summer!
