Default Favorite Perch

I thought I'd post a picture of Ollie's favorite perch. When it's in her cage it's where she spends most of her time. It also doubles as a swing.

I just got my new SkyPerch on Saturday...my birds are loving it! Even Stevie, my completely neurotic baby grey that jumps off everything will sit on it... Pics of Stevie are still in the camera, but you can see my wild caught CAG Schmedley and his friend Niko the TAG, plus baby Ricky the b&g on the web page...

I was a bit hesitant to order this perch, but now that it is here I'm thrilled!
My quakers love it, the greys and amazons love it, the b&g loves it... My scarlet macaw hasn't been on it yet - she's a big chicken
I don't have mine installed permanently yet...I really want it right in front of the living room window, but the ceiling is 21 ft and I was concerned about installing it there.

As an added bonus, I got a huge order of bird-stix w/ my skyperch. Pruitt (BFA) loves them, as do some of they greys. My Scarlet has been chomping on them too.

I do know the person that manufactures these, but I have no financial interest in them at all.

Wendy

Wow...that's some perch. A touch expensive though. I'll bet Jim could make one.

Looks like fun! I am not sure Chipper has a fave. She loves everything she has. Loves all of her swings, etc.

That is an awesome perch - quite elegant looking as well.

Maybe if my guys continue to get closer I'll get that bigger cage & a nice swinging perch as well. The small cages really are poor for adding cool stuff like that. I had turned a climbing chain into a swinging perch - Laker enjoyed it for a while but he's lost interest in it & prefers his rope perch.

Funny thing about the rope perch - i was worried about them when i read of birds getting caught in the threads. Now i have one i can't see the issue. Wouldn't you keep the threads trimmed if they came unraveled?

I have a rope perch for Ollie that has been in use for nearly 2 years. No unraveling is even taking place. If it did I would just trim the threads like you said.
