Default Cajeput Wood Perches

Cajeput Perches

i just saw these come in at the perch store. i have never heard of "cajeput" trees before. does anyone know anything about this wood and/or used it with their birds? wayne stopped offering bottlebrush perch lots, so i am going to have to find SOME kind of alternative!

Is there any chance of finding a bottle brush tree your birdies may miss it. I have never heard of cajeput either.

No, never heard of this type of wood. Interesting. Keep us updated on any of your research. That is too bad about bottlebrush perches.

It is quick to cut off with a large lopper. I give it to my birds fresh so it is not as hard as the cured stuff. They like the leaves and blossoms also.

I just placed an order at the Perch store and ordered two of the smaller ones to try out.

Luckily I had ordered some perch lots before, so all my birds have at least one bottlebrush perch and I have some extras too.

I was going to order some of his spinner toys, but he no longer has them either.

He really only has the huge stand...nearly $500...no options for different sizes or anything.

Is he stopping his business? I would be so disappointed if he did.

i talked to wayne a while back and unfortunately he is closed for business except for replacement assemblies for gyms people already own. he is only going to be selling to local bird stores. i don't want to speak for him, so e-mail him for the full details.
