I am in the process of building a 12’ wide-20’ long and 16’ high wall at one end aviary - I have been researching mesh or fencing, and want only stainless steel - not galvanized. Any recommendations?

Randi, this is where I purchased mine;

LINK: Welded SS wire mesh

I bought the 0.105 2X2 Mesh;
LINK: 2 Mesh Stainless Steel Type 304 Welded.105 Wire Diameter 48 Inches Wide Screen

Shipping from CA to NY wasn't terrible. It was under $200 for the 100' roll.

Thank you so much, Karen! Are you happy with the wire? I have already checked the site and forwarded to the builder... we are attaching the aviary to the mudroom, so it will be open on all sides but one, the one where the birds will be able to access the house. We are using pressure treated wood beams in concrete, and the steel wire mesh will be strung up from the inside, so the birds cannot access the wood.

Very happy; with it with one exception. I did need to check each weld for burrs and smooth them off. The welds are all on one side and once I got the proper grinder it wasn't too bad.

This wire mesh comes in 2 " openings only. Is that good for your macaws? My contractor is afraid that it might be too big. The mesh I have on my porch is 11/2 " - What do you think?

My little chewing birds (everyone but the ringies) can get at their wood through the mesh. Sounds like you have a great flight planned!

Thanks. There is some technique whereby the mesh is attached to the corners and the wood is completely out of reach... but I am concerned about the 2 " opening. I think it will be all right. Not sure, though.
