This is a flower from Thailand. It is also a protected species and is not allowed to be exported. This may be the only way we will be able to view this flower

In Canada [& in the States] we have Small Yellow Lady Slippers that kind of remind me of this. & Pink ones. There are so many kinds and all so lovely. They are also protected.

Same here. Their pictures periodically make the birdsites rounds but I am always in complete awe of their beauty and how incredibly much they resemble parrots!

They are beautiful. I can't believe how much it resembles the parrot. Amazing.

We've got to have some of those ya'll! Who is coming with me to steal clippings???? I have lots of neat flowers and plants I brought back from Costa Rica last summer. They are all doing real well.
