Warm Mist Humidifier

I have been researching to buy a warm mist humidifier.
What's your thoughts about this one; AIR-O-SWISS Ultrasonic Humidifier - Model 7135

I almost put a humidifier in my fids room, but was told they are bacterial swamp machines! lol....After thinking about it, it made sense. So I went to Bed Bath & Beyond to check one out. They had a flood model out and it was all slimy inside with orange film around the water line. Instead we added a whole house humidifier on the central heater.

Leigh, I would love to have a whole house humidifier!! I agree humidifiers or vaporizers have to be kept meticulously clean or they're downright dangerous to our birds.

The one I saw running had a "white sound" effect. It created a muffled sound in the area. I dont know how to explain white sound or white noise if you havent heard of it. Offices that have large open space with lots of workers use it. Anyway, Im not sure if the machine I saw had the same ionic stick or not. I dont even remember the make or model.

I'm going to read more about it. I dont like the word ionic. If it transfers ions into the air then it's bad.

I have a cheap-o $34.00 one from Rite Aid type place. I forget the name it's Sunbeam I think. Everything's plastic with no hiding spots. Problem is it only helps a limited sq ft area of course. Barely works to over 50 in the winter in a room about 20 x18. Great in bedrooms.....

I'm glad you posted this I need a new better one....
