SO, you can let it run all night long? Thats when I really need it, for sleepy time. We like to drop it down to 65 in here, which would make their room 60.
I leave it running all the time, unless Ollie and I are going out of town. It's so nice to be able to set it at the temp I want it and then not have to think about it at all, it just turns on and off as necessary. It also oscillates and has a remote. Lasko has some similar styles that will shut off if they get tipped over, but the style I have doesn't do that. I don't have kids or other pets though so that doesn't really matter. I also turned it on outside for a couple hours before using it. The bedroom I used it in last winter was like 14x12 feet. It worked great for that.

Leigh, I have two of the DeLonghi brands. I looked online for the DeLonghi MG15E Magnum Oil-Filled Radiator and didn't find any in stock anywhere, so even though they're only 2 years old, they may be out dated already. They're thermostat controlled and I just set the temp I want and leave them running. But like Dana said, the first time you heat them up, do it outside to burn off any manufacturing residue.

We bought the ceramic heater that Camille has. I ran it outside for at least 2 hours. Im doing a test now, its been running in the liv room for about 30 min now. I can kinda still smell something, but Im not sure. DO you think its safe to put in their room. Its dropping down to the 50's tonight and I dont want to put the central heat on. Their feet were cold this morning so I want to be sure they're warm. Whataya think guys????

50's? I think our low is going to be 75 tonight. Guess I don't have to worry about space heaters.

Glad to see you can all help each other out. It would be bad if someone went out and bought one and didn't like it. See, we have our own Product Testers here on PC.

I think 2 hours outside should be fine. I haven't brought mine out of storage yet...

They were not happy to see that thing in their room! Poor Buddy, his heart was beating like a drum. Then this morning they didnt make a peep, where they are usually letting me know they're awake. I was having horrible thoughts before I opened the door, but they were fine. Once again, thanks for the recommendation!

I bet you were scared! I've had those same horrible thoughts before as I pull Ollie's cover off. I think I'm paranoid. I almost dread pulling her cover off every morning, and always breathe a huge sigh of relief when I see her puffed up on her sleeping perch. Glad you like the heater.

Oh dear, we must all be the same. I fretted all last night about the heater being in the bird's sleeping room for the first time this season.

All is well this morning!! I have all day to worry about droppings and if they ate enough and got all their vitamins, and if they were in a good mood, and if Kady is mad cause he pinched me, and if I should give showers or do them tomorrow before I start worrying if the heater will be alright again tonight .......
