The previous owner had a Tiel - said her bird would have nothing to do with it. If your birds is used to this already - how did you do it?

Dark - they are not too comfortable in the dark & the mesh is kind of dark - but it may also work in their favour. They may feel hidden when out on a sunny day.[?]
