Thumbs up Kings Cages Java Perches

I highly recommend King Cages Java Perches for any bird! I bought 2 of them at a local shop- one was labeled 'small' and is as thick around as my wrist and long as my arm. I gave it to Paco and attached it to the outside of his cage as a place for him to sit and chill. He loves it.

The other perch was even larger- longer and more variety in thickness. Unfortunatly when I tried to install it in Higgins cage, it would not support its own weight and flopped immediatly to the cage floor. Knowing the bird store would not take the perch back because it had been around my birds, I called Kings Cages. After talking with a very nice operator, she could not identify the source of my problem and referred me to Mr. King himself. He was more then gracious, and after I described the situation to him, he told me to ship the perch back to him with a note instructing to exchange the one perch for 2 smaller ones- he asked what kind of bird would be using it and he felt the smaller size would be more suitable.

So I sent it off on Friday of last week, and yesterday I came home to a large box on my doorstep. My perches came! Kings was nice enough to send me two small size perches (which, are really actually pretty large) which more then compansated for my one medium perch. I put them in Higgins cage, and they literally filled Higgins cage! They are so twisty, curvy and have multi branches its more like 6 perches instead of 2.

I highly recommend Kings Java... they are heavy duty, will hold up to lots of beaking- but lightweight so easy on the cages. They are super easy to clean, and the fids love them! Not to mention, if you get them directly from Kings Cages Int'l they have super customer service.

Emily, they sound nice. Don't you just love it when a company goes above and beyond for good customer satisfaction. If you get chance, take some pictures. These perches sound like something the Fids here would like.

Can't wait to see pics! I may have to add these to my list of things to buy for the fids when we get our income tax back!

OK here they are... please excuse the poop in Pacos picture... I clean the darn thing every day but he still manages to mess the perch up!

A large view of Higgins cage- it has 2 Java perches, a ribbonwood perch at the bottom, and the sphere swing. The inside of his cage is about 40ish inches.

Paco's perch. He was being a reluctant participant, so the picture isnt that good. But this perch is like a T- the other side looks the same as this, which makes for nice perching.

Default Re: Kings Cages Java Perches

Hi,

I won a $100.00 Kings Cages gift certificate from BirdTalk, and got a stainless steel cup and a table top Java play gym. I have two issues with the gym: The wood on the base buckled slightly at the seem. The second is there's no branches low enough for Poco, our SIE who I got it for, to climb on. We have a ladder for her to use now. It took some ingenuity to get the ladder secure, as there are no level branches. Poco loves it!

Their customer service is terrific!!!!!!!
