Default my newest creation

Is done. I cut the bamboo a few months ago and it took awhile to dry so it took a lot longer to build then I thought it would. Its for an M2. The center section for a boing.

this is the base. 3/4" PVC can be filled with water for added weight or just toss something over the floor pieces if you desire extra added stability.

just a couple shots showing how I roped the joints after using a nut and bolt to old things together.

this is the arm for the boing

a rope grid on one end for climbing fun, each piece of rope easily replaceable.

and the whole unit!!

p.s. next time I post I promise to downsize my photos!!

Great job, Jim, I love it! Where did you get the bamboo? I've been wanting to experiment with bamboo, but always worry about the imported commercially available stuff being treated with pesticide/fungicide (I think there's a law that imported bamboo has to be treated).

we have bamboo growing right here where I live. What I used to makethis stand pretty much wiped out the usable parts of it for tis year. Next spring I might be able to cut again.

It reminds me of my latest efforts with grapevine branches.
I liked the end result & really enjoyed the building part [must be part Quaker]. After about a week I decided to rebuild it because it was kind of dominating any room it was in. I have to think it all over again.

But if you have the space - go for it! It certainly looks entertaining & that's what counts.

Which bird is the quickest at working knots out?
