Thanks, Camille. I was just about to be a killjoy here. I would not use it. It probably has a lacquered finish.

Great ball! Let us know how you made it! Fabulous! But, sorry, I'd use the stand for baseball hats.

The ball is hand made, it was actually really easy.

I got 4 metal rings that you can buy at the craft store, cleaned them and all that jazz, hubby is the one that found the varigated TINY poly rope or string, and when wrapped the colors came out nice and even. It took FOREVER to wrap the darn thing.

Personally I would get a larger size rope to wrap it, and DON'T send out the hubby who knows nothing about making stuff to get suplies

The fids really like it with all the different toys on it which are also home made. My Lutino tiel LOVES straws and seems to be the first thing he attacks on it.

I agree with Camille on the stand....I would sand all the finish off. wash it with bleach. You may have to put a larger base on it as well....might be top heavy.

Yeah, that's another good point. You wouldn't want that toppling over with a bird on it.

I may have to try a ball like that. I think Dakota would enjoy it.

DRAT. Yeah, I knew it'd be hand made. Well you need to go into business all the stuff is great including the PVC gym.

OK, see the little balls strung on knotted string hanging from the swing? Please tell me they came that way that you didnt string and knot all that?

Because my Parrotlets would go completely bonkers for that thing. They spend ALL their free time looking for things to untie.

Like the mini blinds one slat at at time.
