Default megalomaniac toy revisited

well, for those of you that may not remember, after Sophie broke her beak earlier this year I made her a monster toy. She loves to climb up threw toys like this as well as shred them. A quick reminder..................

then came all the hoopla about toys made in China. I got the wood from toys at Walmart. Some where safe dies. Some were paint. I was assured all was safe when I inquired. Well I have never been fully comfortable with that. Today at work I was messing around and gathered up some scrap lumber and started cutting and drilling. When I was done I came up with this...................

thats after the GSE/hot water soak n rinse. As my lovely wife was at work this evening I went to work. Tearing down the the lines pulling off the painted blocks then replacing/adding the new blocks. A couple design changes here and there, I may even add more rope later.

And now for 60 inches of the Megalomaniac toy that Macs can envy and Sophie will destroy!!!

Megalomaniac II

Sophie is going to have fun! How long will it take her to destroy it?

those plastic hangers are just for the pictures. I use those metal "C" clip thingies to attach it to the top of the cage.

she is very meticulous about dismantling the big ones. She does it in a way that makes it easier and more fun for her to climb threw it which is her main passion. She had managed to half size the original.

Jim what an awesome toy! I can just picture her climbing all over that thing; a nibble here, a nibble there! Way cool.
