Default Environmental Enrichment for Parrots: Finding the Ultimate Parrot Toy!

Great research article about what birds like and don't like!

Environmental Enrichment for Parrots: Finding the Ultimate Parrot Toy!

Most parrot owners can think of at least one time when they enthusiastically purchased an overpriced toy for their pet parrot, only to bring it home and have their bird completely ignore it. There are numerous factors to consider when choosing a toy for a bird, such as color, size, shape, material, and cost. In many cases, what is appealing to the human eye may not be to the bird’s eye. That's interesting. I would have thought red would be more attractive...but yellow is brighter, maybe thats why. Also, I have notice Nani likes smaller parts then I would assume a bird of her size would. And she wayyyyy prefers soft wood compared to hard.
