Great recipe Karen!
Were you holding your breath to see if she'd eat it?

Yes, but I didn't want her to know that I cared so I busied myself on the computer and watched out of the corner of my eye! She actually only ate a litte bit of it. I think that was probably due to my cooking skills rather than the recipe though. She loves sweet potato, bread, and cinammon sticks, so there's really no reason why she shouldn't like this!

Inspired by your recipe, I did the same thing only turned it into a vegetable sandwich. In the original egg mixture I added spirulina, and red palm oil. I put one coated piece of bread in the pan, then a scoop of mixed vegetables and cut up apple, and then topped with the second piece of coated bread. If you press it down with a spatula, everything mushes together like a grilled cheese sandwich.
I have been trying to give my 11 guys more vegetables and good stuff which they have been hesitant to try, and I think because of the sweetness of the cinnamon and apple, they don't even know they're eating the vegetables too. The possibilities seem limitless. THEY EAT IT!
Hurray! This is the very first time I have ever seen "empty plates"!
Boy do i feel like a good mommy.

Thanks for the inspiration!

Donna

Yummy - makes my mouth water

- I'm finally getting somewhere with feeding the Budgies on top of the cage in a saucer - this would fit really well - although the last toast offerings were flung with glee everywhere. maybe this will get them.
