Lost VOS Eclectus Baby Female Permission to Crosspost
PLEASE PLEASE help us...
I got a call today from the girl who has bought my last VOS female Baby. The baby was in the process of fledgling and was on a new home visit with the owners. She had spent time with them over the weekends before. So I was not concerned when they picked her up and I told them she can fly now and will be flying a few weeks before I clip her, so she has time to learn.
They thought it was wonderful I allowed the babies to learn to fly and were in what I thought was total understanding that ALL doors and windows must remain closed and the baby must be in a carrier when outdoors at all times.
So I packed her foods and put her in the carrier and she left sat. Well...I got a call just a few hours ago the baby flew right out the door when they opened it to get a pizza they had ordered.
This is a 4 month old Vos baby, fully feathered, name Rosie, responds to name with honking when called, responds to Mama When called. She of course in not a strong flier yet and will be landing often to rest and is not a good lander yet and could be found perching almost anywhere.
She needs to be found as soon as we can...she was last fed formula around 5 PM, she does eat parrot mix as well as fresh and soft mixes like beak appetit but needs to be fed still 4 times a day even if she isnt always eating it.
She was last seen flying low to the west at the corner of Ellery road and Hamlin Road in Jackson Michigan
She is banded with my aviary band a Yellow band #LWA MI 08 with hatch number.
She was completely paid off already so her new owners are offering a 500.00 reward for her swift and safe return.
PLEASE HELP US...If we can get bird people in the area calling for her SHE WILL RESPOND eventually.
I can't even make it to go look for her myself as I jut had Major Abdominal Surgery not even a week ago.
If she is found please contact the Jackson Police Dept. There is a Report out on her.
