Just an update on the little fella.

He is much, much better. Settling in. Very happy in his spot, getting lots of attention and always something out there for him to watch, especially those two Labs of mine.

I saw him yesterday chewing on some brocolli. I also saw him picking his seed up with his beak

He still follows me from one side of the avairy to the other if I walk around it. When I go inside he has stopped pushing his face into mine, but is very curious about me still and will get as close as possible.

He is definitely a show off. Turning his head upside down and using his crest to show emotion. I have to learn what these flicking and ducking crest motions mean.

All up, I am pleased with his progress and happy that he is eating a lot better now.

We are so happy! Looks like Peggy is doing a wonderful job training him! ha! Wish I could see him in person! Give them loves from us!

Now Pi'ere and I get to socialize and bond. This is the fun part.
He really is a character. Last night I went out for firewood, it is stored on the porch, have to turn the light on, and sure enough he is out there yapping away. I called my son out this time to listen. He was in hysterics, I turned the light off and silence. My son was asking me what was Pi'ere saying and how come he does it only when you turn the light on. I have no idea why, he doesn't yap like this in the day and he only does it when you turn the light on and go outside. One word you can definitely understand is the old owners name. The rest is just in a very deep, gruff tone which is non stop. Oh well, just the beginning of the long road to understanding Pi'ere and getting to know him.

I am sure he has a long time left yet. Peggy is still kicking around after almost 18 months. Who would have thought!

Ask Peggy what he is saying! haha! So glad he is settling in. My Gipper (tag) used to talk all the time but if you turned a light on after he went to bed he would say "Shut the *D* door!!!" I don't curse and I sure didn't teach him that! He also said "Meddlesome bird!" in his old owners voice. Kiss Peggy!
