Default PBFD emergency rescue.

I just got off the phone about another PBFD bird. Up in a gum tree. It is in a backyard in a town close to me.
I will attempt to get it on Wed. The owner of the home is going to try and coax it down lower with some food so I can get hold of it.

Love me, hate me, read the PBFD thread, I can only try my best but for the love of God I cannot see a bird suffer regardless of what it is carrying.

Please stay with us & tell us the stories - you will be heard by those who want to listen.

I am so sad to think of all those glorious birds in Australia - all going thru this. Yes it is everywhere - not just in your home. But like so many scary things - people try to hide the truth. What are the 5 stages of grieving? - one is denial.

I'll send you a prayer or 2 You make me feel so humble.

I have the travel cage in the car, ready to go. I will get there after lunch today.
Let's hope the bird is low enough down, I won't be able to climb the tree at all.

I told the owner of the property to place some see or corn on the cob lower down, see if the bird will come lower. Going to be a tricky one.

This is not the first I have tried to save, the last one, by the time I got there it had gone. I will do what I can. Wish me and the birdie luck. It will be totally wild, but my guess is, if it is PBFD and I will know soon as I see it, the birdie will not bite, PBFD's rarely do.

Will tell you as soon as I get back, but it won't be till late today my time, at least 6pm.

I just thought, better to have these birds out of the general population and at least somewhat contained here. Pity I can't take all of em aye.
