Default IRN Looking For New Home

(Not Sure If This Belongs Here But If It Doesn't Feel Free To Move It, Lol)

I have a green male Indian Ringneck that needs a home, my stepmom rescued him from this woman last week who kept him in one of those teeny tiny canary cages. He lived in there for 6 years, living on junk seed and doritos, when my step mom picked him up his cage had two dowels in it, no grate and the bottom of the cage was filled with corn cob bedding. The woman told my stepmom when she asked why his tail was sooo short- that she cut it because it was so long it stuck out of the bars. I switched him to the Benji blend which he seems to really like, my stepmom makes asian medley for my sisters caiques and he kind of likes that, and grapes so far. My sister is allergic to all nuts-including tree nuts, so I knew when I had her rescue the bird from the woman that it couldnt be a long term thing (my sisters caiques eat all fresh-since my stepmom works at home most of the time and zupreem pellets nothing else). His name is angel, he is 6 years old, he talks alot, and steps up, a little nippy-more scared than anything. The woman didnt take him out,but all his wing feathers have been clipped. I think he could be a great bird & he has the proper perches and toys now, and a snuggle hut that he sleeps in. He yells at the caiques and says "AHHHHH" lol.

His name is Angel and he is 6 years old,as I said he is eating the Benji Blend from BP (a pelleted diet with over 50 human grade ingredients, including fruits, veggies & nuts),fruits & some veggies (picky little guy but my step mom keeps offering). His new owner must live in PA, since IRN's are illegal in NJ, or a surrounding state that they ARE legal in.

So let me know what you guys think I have pics that I will post tonight

Yeah, poor guy ....... I also hope you can find him the best home possible which (IMO) is - a placement where he can be a bird having the following in his new life: a caring/devoted keeper, full flight, natural daily direct sunlight, rain-showers, a bird playmate, plenty of toys, great diet, freedom from stress, etc.....).

He's beautiful, I sure hope you find him a forever home soon.I almost cried when I saw his cut off tail, what a nasty thing to do! He looks alot like an African ringneck, the beak looks real dark and small. What colour is? Hard to tell from pictures. Clara - Ringneckmom and Amanda have African Ringnecks, if they come along maybe they will be able to tell me if I am wrong (which I probably am lol)
