Such a very sad situation that beautiful guy was in! Does that woman treat the parakeet any better? I'm so glad you came to this guys rescue! Can't wait to see pics after he experiences good care and love! Let us know his new name when you think of it.
Bless you!

Real glad the birdie is with you, but I can well understand how a sennie got mistreated and named like that. In another home Peanut could well find himself with a similar name.

What a sweet baby. I can't get over the things some people do. I know this little one is going to be the happiest little fid in town, now that he's got a loving Mom and Dad with the two of you. You and Rose Ann have hearts of Gold.

Arty, I don't think it's possible for me to express to you how much admiration I hold for you and Rose Ann! You are some of the most incredible human beings I have ever come across in my life. Good luck with this new addition to your home, he couldn't have found his way to a better place.

Arty and Rose, thanks so much for taking this little one under your wings. Now that he/she is going to be well cared for and understood, one little life will have changed for the better, that's for sure! Can't wait to hear what you decide on for a new name.

Thank you all for the kind responces, All of you make me feel so very good inside.
Please know your words to us are so valued, cherished.
My Rose is the one that shines so brightly, I rescue, I mend injuries, I am not saying I don't do my part, but when it comes to my mate Rose Ann, I am a close second place.
I stand in awe at her abilities, I stand in awe as I watch her and her ways with birds, its like she is an Eve in the garden of Eden, they come to her (so freely).
So hard to explain, I am simply beside myself when it comes to my Rose.
I will keep you all updated with this new birds progress.
Take Care!

Arty

Rose Ann named the new kid Sonny.
Sonny shwed me the little devil inside of him the other day, got me good too...hehehehehe
Much blood and still kinda smarts today...
One minute he was letting me scatch his neck, the next he was looking for blood.
Sonny is doing very well, as usual he favors Rose Ann, he is fitting in well here and enjoys his time out sitting on the tree.
He enjoys his baths, poor little one was so dirty.
Another story of Sonny's past has found us, seems the person that cared for Sonny used a DustBuster to scare him away while she entered the cage to feed him.
Sonny is a wonderful little bird, as always one must respect a birds ability to bite once in awhile, oweeee

soo cute. It amzes me how people think that a living breathing thing should just behave without any limits or boundries. And then they resort to what amounts to abuse to get what they want. Scare the crap out of the bird and wonder why it goes after them. I am sure in your loving home it won't be long before the little one knows he/she is safe and I am sure all the other fids will talk to him/her and let him/her know that your home is the safe and loving enviroment to live in. I agree the new fid will think he/she has gone to birdy heaven. Makes you wonder what they do to the human kids that don't behave, lock them in a closet? We all have a little in us.

Awwwww - poor Arty!

hope he settles in & treats you better. I would think getting over this bad treatment may take a long time.

He must think these humans need aggressive treatment.

Lol, no kidding. With a past like Sonny's, it's no wonder he thinks he needs to keep you in line with a nip, lol.

I just don't understand some people. I have to resist the extremely strong urge to bang my head against a brick wall when I think of the things some people do.

Congrats on your new family member!
