One thing to keep in mind too, is that some of these lists are integral parts of other pages, not originally designed as cut & paste.

Meaning, the pages are written to be read as an entire unit, not scavenged for fragments from a brief glance.

I'll bet you dollars to doughnuts on part of that

Whatever tree it is that Ruby climbs around in and eats every day, is perfectly safe. Or she would be dead by now! ha!

How bout grapefruit? I have a huge branch that I want to turn into a play stand.

I think they might list it that way to cover all bases thinking the fruit trees have a possibility of being sprayed. I've also seen some sites get very explicit. I believe the apple branches are safe. It's the seeds that birds shouldn't eat.

Best I know, it's fine.

It's genus is Citrus, the same as the orange tree.

Lime and kumquat as well.

One tree I have not found out about - not too common around N. America - is the olive tree. Came across a question about that one two months ago, and have not found anything yet. Would be nice to know about olive, because I suspect that it may be grown in parts of California and a couple of other states.
