Hi can anyone tell me is ligustrum branches are non-toxic?

According to
Pages 80-99, Helleborus to Ligustrum
the leaves and berries are highly toxic and can cause death. Other sites are less extreme but still report mild toxicity or potential toxicity. It's best to avoid it.
